These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Veneer platform. IMPORTANT: THESE TERMS CONTAIN A MANDATORY ARBITRATION PROVISION AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER.
1. Safety & Background Checks
NO CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS
VENEER DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ITS USERS. WE DO NOT VERIFY THE REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES, OR STATEMENTS OF USERS. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS.
You understand that Veneer does not inquire into the backgrounds of its users or attempt to verify the statements of its users. You agree to take reasonable precautions in all interactions with other users, particularly if you decide to meet offline or in person.
2. AI & Algorithmic Services
Veneer uses Artificial Intelligence to suggest matches.
- No Guarantee: We do not guarantee a successful match.
- AI Accuracy: AI recommendations are probabilistic and may not always reflect your true preferences.
- No Reverse Engineering: You agree not to attempt to derive the source code or algorithms of our AI models.
3. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Harass, stalk, or defame any person.
- Create deepfakes or use AI to generate misleading content.
- Use the service for commercial solicitation.
- Scrape or collect data from the service using automated means.
4. Content & License
You grant Veneer a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display your content (photos/bio) in connection with the Service and for the limited purpose of training our internal matchmaking models to strictly improve your experience and the experience of your potential matches.
5. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VENEER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, DIRECT OR INDIRECT, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF YOU OR ANYONE ELSE IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, BODILY INJURY, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, AND/OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES RESULTING FROM COMMUNICATIONS OR MEETINGS WITH OTHER USERS.
6. Dispute Resolution
Binding Arbitration: Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service will be settled by binding arbitration, rather than in court.
Class Action Waiver: YOU AND VENEER AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
